El Palenque Taco Shop in California

"I've been eating here since I was a child. I live in NorCal now and every time I visit my parents, we eat here at least once. The sopes are so, so, so good. If you're going to have anything, make sure it's that. Very nice people. The venue is small, but the food is delicious."

"I had two tacos, rice and beans. The tacos we're good. Decent amount of shredded beef, fresh lettuce and tomatoes inside a very crunchy shell. The refried beans were flavorless as was the rice. There is a nice selection of Jalisco sodas and a the salsa station has three choices and yummy spicy marinated carrots."

"My husband and I were staying across the street at the Marriott & he sent me to go get a mixed burrito. When I told the cashier what I wanted, he went to the kitchen & asked the cook to come talk to me. The cook told me mixed burritos aren't on their menu because they didn't have shredded beef but that he would be happy to make a special mixed burrito however I wanted it. I told him to surprise me. It was delicious! He made it with carne asada meat, cheese, beans, rice, sour cream, guacamole & green sauce. Even better than the food was the super nice, friendly cook who provided me with awesome customer service which showed me that he values & appreciates their customers."
